Forum organised by the Collegium International entitled “Towards World Governance”
The Collegium International, in liaison with the UN at Geneva and the Swiss Government, will be organized a Forum to address the necessity of world governance.

11.15 am: Presentation of the Forum by the Collegium International
12.15 am to 1.45 pm: What role for the United Nations in world governance? Speech by the Director-General a.i. of the United Nations Office at Geneva, Mr. Michael Moller
Followed by a discussion with members of Collegium International:
Michel Rocard, former French Prime Minister,
Milan Kučan, first President of Slovenia, Co-Presidents of the Collegium International,
Bernard Miyet, former Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations,
Michèle Sabban, President of the R20 Foundation and Vice-President of the Regional Council of the Isle-of-France region
4 pm: Visual conference with Michael W. Doyle, member of the Collegium International and professor at the University of Columbia. Discussion followed by the distribution of his article, co-authored with Joseph Stiglitz, entitled “Eliminating Extreme Inequality: A Sustainable Development Goal, 2015-2030”
Tuesday 21st January
11.30: Press conference
With the members of the Collegium International and launch of the Appeal for World Governance. The Appeal is addressed to the political leaders and public opinions of all countries. This document will be presented to Mr. Ban Ki Moon, Secretary-General of the United Nations, in order for it to be communicated to the Heads of State taking part in the G20 Summit in Brisbane in November 2014, and to Mr. François Hollande, President of the French Republic, host of the global 2015 Paris Climate Conference.
